Andi,
Many people spend their entire lives trying to reach the understanding that you have of “normal” at such a young age. I am so glad you are the good person you are. We are so lucky to have you as Dylan’s Mother and a member of our famly! I agree with others about your giftedness as a writer. Your writing is a blessing to me and can be to many others as well, if you choose to share it beyond this blog sometime in the future. (Have you read “One Thousand Gifts,” written by a young mother? If not, it might inspire you to reach further when your hands are not quite as busy as they are now. LOL)

As I read your blog, I was reminded of some of the “normal” people who have affected my life in positive ways. I still fondly remember my brother’s third grade teacher, Mrs. Key, who took the time to pass on her grown son’s basketball goal to my young brother. That was the beginning of a passion in a young man that saw him through his school days and lasted a lifetime. Grass never grew under that basketball goal, and it became the gathering place for my brother, his friends, and siblings. We could always count on at least a game of “horse” and usually had enough for a modified game. (Mother and Dad never worried about the grass.)

I love the simple life as well. You are a smart woman to realize this at a young age. Your writing is incredible and certainly is a gift!! You should check into free lance writing for a mother’s magazine or something. You could actually submit your blog as an example of your writing. Keep up the blog as I am enjoying everyone of them!

I love this Andi! I miss your face, and I am so glad to be following your blog… even though we live TWENTY minutes away, it’s mind boggling that we cannot see each other but once a year =(
I started a blog too lol… but it won’t be as detailed or sweet as yours.. but you can follow it if you want! I’m not a great writer like you, but I think it’s a great ‘venting’ and ‘decompressing’ tool.

I miss you and that sweet baby…

Oh Andi, this had me rolling! LOL! I, too, thought I’d always have the “put-together” kid. God had different plans for me apparently . I’ve learned to just roll with it, and laugh A LOT – when what I really wanted to do was cry. Thanks for sharing this, it reminds me of how “normal” my life with a little messy one is xo
